About The Product:

Snow Report Ski App suggests the most recent information about ski areas in Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Scandinavia, North America, and other ski resorts worldwide. Snow Report Ski App offers snow alter and facts about snow reports, prepared slopes, weather forecasts and information about lift passes makes the app a must have for all skier.

Project Scope:

For this app, Ossmium team designed general style and application look and feel. The app design was created from the ground up. Within the current design project, our design team created both Android and iOS versions. The new design was showcased as InVision clickable prototype to the client. ​

The Start Point:

The client sent a text task with detailed problems description, the new design should solve. The old app design version was also shared with us.

The requirements were the following:

  • Rework and simplify the user experience,
  • To design new, stylish and modern app look and feel,
  • Create product clickable prototype and represent it to the client
  • Create the animation to show the interface design in work

The Problems To Solve:

The old product interface was outdated and showed the information in a relatively ineffective way. Some important app features were hidden and quite difficult to reach.

Project Goal:

In the new design, the user should have quick access to all app features, see more information on the screen without the necessity of jumping through the menu items.

The app screen should display as much important information as it is possible. Special attention should be paid at the snow reports, weather forecasts, high-resolution slope maps, and other important app features. At the same time, the app UI should be modern, stylish and engaging.

Design process:

The new design was created from the ground up. We started our work from the research and market analysis stage.After analyzing all the available details, our team together with the developers team worked on smooth and clear user-flow.

Then the wireframes stage followed

and after that, we started UI app part. The final design style and direction was selected based on the design trends at that time of launch.

The project result.

The project was created directly according to the given specifications, keeping set time frames. The client is 100% satisfied with the result. Now the application is available in App Store and Google Play and is gaining popularity every day.

It has a good rating, user feedbacks and available in 18 languages!

Conclusion:

This was a really challenging and exciting project for our team. Due to active collaboration with the development team, we managed successfully redesigned UX design and made all processes more clear and easy for users.

The app UI was redesigned entirely too. Our team designed a new look and feel for this product. New UI design was created based on the latest user interface design standards and now looks more modern and eye-catching.

We managed to reach the set aim and suggested users an easy to use, engaging and beautiful product.
